The Liverpool City Region is one of the UK’s top four growth hot spots, according to an influential report from global design and infrastructure consultancy Arcadis.

The research analysed the growth prospects of 24 leading urban economies in the UK, measuring growth potential against the six key pillars of workforce and skills, infrastructure, business environment, place, city brand and housing.
该报告分析了英国24个领先的城市经济体的发展前景，从六个维度评估了他们的成长潜力。这六个维度是：劳动力以及技能，基础设施，营商环境，地理位置，城市品牌和住房。
The report placed Liverpool ahead of Manchester and London as an investment destination, behind only Edinburgh, Oxford and Cambridge.
该报告把利物浦排在了英国第四位，仅次于爱丁堡、牛津和剑桥，但是领先于伦敦、伯明翰和曼彻斯特。
City brand, infrastructure, positive business environment and quality and affordability of housing were recognised among the Liverpool City Region’s strengths.

Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram has welcomed the findings, "Liverpool City Region is increasingly being recognised as a dynamic, outward-looking international city region and reports that highlight our attractiveness for inward investment are always welcome."

In fact, Liverpool has attracted a number of investors from China. After Liverpool and Shanghai became sister cities in 1999, both cities have carried out influential cooperation in shipping, finance and other fields.
